Update: The 2022 Toyota Tundra has been officially revealed! Check out all the pictures and details now!
Toyota has not overhauled its Tundra for a long time. Although there are other large-size pickups on the market, the Tundra is the one that stands out with its unparalleled reliability. While it is taking a long time for Toyota to release the new 2022 Tundra details, what we’ve seen so far is sure impressive.
After a series of leaks on the Internet, Toyota finally officially released the first image of its upcoming 2022 Tundra. What is known is that Toyota is developing a new iForce MAX engine for the new 2022 Tundra, which may be similar to the 2022 Land Cruiser’s 3.5-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine with 415 horsepower. This make sense as both of these vehicles are using the same platform, which should mean the new 2022 Tundra will be more tough, have more safety built-in, have better handling, have increased trailer load and payload, and coil spring rear suspension.
Based on released images so far, the new 2022 Tundra will retain its iconic electric rear window complimented with a new interior design. One of the interior options is the new red fabric or the red perforated leather on the TRD Pro. Vertical wireless charging is available next to the gear lever on the passenger side.
You can also look forward to the panoramic sliding sunroof, hopefully, will be available for the Canadian version. The electric rear windows and a new sunroof combined will give new owners a sense of open space. In the open position.
Another interesting detail we know is the button design for access to functions like crawl control, multiple terrain selection, tow/haul, downhill assist control, and the different driving modes available. There’s no doubt that this design will be part of the new TRD Pro.
Toyota will also be revamping the ageing entertainment system design with a larger landscape display with striking red stitching added to the steering wheel.
We have seen the details of the exterior and interior, so how much power will it have? The 2022 Tundra has been officially revealed. There is a brand new gas model and hybrid model coming, wow that’s crazy news!
Ford, Dodge, and Chevrolet have already introduced a redesign for their trucks over the recent years while the Tundra has stayed relatively the same since its debut more than 13 years ago. 2022 is looking like it will be the year of the Tundra. More news to come!
The 2021 Tundra still has many fans who may not like the new design that will be coming out for the 2022 version. There is still time to order one of the many trims available. Be sure to check it out if that’s you!
