The Cross is a more traditional-looking crossover SUV, with less boxy looks than the RAV4 and more conventional styling than the C-HR. There are more than 8 inches of ground clearance. It still has some distinctive features, such as the front grill and its headlights.

The Corolla Cross shares the same platform with the Corolla Sedan S model; both are powered by a 169-horsepower 2.0L four-cylinder engine paired with a CVT gearbox, which offers 7.3 L/100 km in combined gas usage.
The Corolla Cross’s Dynamic Torque Control All Wheel Drive system, which is unique to the model, sends up to 50 percent of power to the back axle before returning control to the front wheels. FWD is only available on the L and Le model.
The AWD models will cost around $1,400 more and provides a fuel consumption rating of 7.8 L/100 km (combined city/highway).
What is the Corolla Cross pricing per trim?
The Corolla Cross pricing sits between the C-HR and the RAV4. L FWD (MSRP $24,890) or AWD (MSRP $26,290) is the base trim level. The 4.2-inch full-colour multi-information display, heated seats, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard on all models.
The LE, which starts at $27,090 for FWD or $28,490 with AWD. Heated leather wheel, alloy wheels, and Blind-Spot Monitoring are all included in this model.
There’s also a Premium package, which includes all of the features listed above, plus a sunroof, roof rail, and remote control for $2,100 more. However, there is no option for FWD after the L and LE model.

Comparing with the C-HR, the Corolla Cross is 3 inches long; it’s also shorter than the RAV4 by around 5 inches. The Corolla Cross should be more approachable and less odd-looking than the C-HR.
