This 2021 Highlander XSE silver comes with a 3.5 Litre, V6 engine with automatic transmission. It has a lot of cargo space and a towing capacity of around 5,000 pounds.
This Highlander XSE wilver is equipped with 20″ alloy wheels, which is much bigger than the wheels on the other trims. It has power backdoor, backup camera, and smart key w/ push-to start.
Remote Connect also comes with this XSE model. It enables you to get the car warmed up ahead of time with its start/shut off engine feature via the Toyota app or the KeyFob.
The 2021 Highlander XSE silver comes with a standard size power sunroof and leather-wrapped heated steering wheel. It also has heated front seating added!
The Highlander XSE silver comes with lovely cockpit red-coloured SofTex leather seating with black accent. Both the driver and front passenger seats offer power adjustment ability.
The XSE comes with a number of USB input in the front as well as in the back passenger area. It has power/normal and eco drive mode with snow mode available for those winter days. A knob is available to enable mud & snow or rock and dirt mode for harsher terrain driving ability.
There is a standard 8″ touchscreen with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto enabled to allow direct access to apps such as Google Maps and Spotify. It also allows for Siri or Google Assistant to function during your commute.

The price to upgrade to a Limited, which is around $3,400, can seem very steep when you consider the features that you get for the money.
The key items you get in addition when upgrading to the Limited are the panoramic sunroof, premium leather interior, JBL sound system, parking sensors, and premium JBL audio system with 11 speakers.
As much as it would be nice to have a panoramic sunroof, if you can live with the standard size sunroof, the XSE is still a fine trim to consider with its distinctive sporty look and captain’s seat for the middle row.
The SofTex leather interior that the XSE comes with is unlikely to be a huge difference when compared with the premium leather for most people. And while the JBL audio system is nice to have, the standard 6 speakers that the XSE come with also hold their own quite well. Definitely try it out before making your decision!
What makes the XSE an enticing choice is the unique sporty body, sport-tuned suspension, and dynamic torque-vectoring all-wheel drive.
The XSE also comes with second row captain’s seats, which is only otherwise available on the top Platinum trim. This makes the XSE the cheaper alternative who prefers to have this seating configuration in the Highlander.
The price difference is just around $2k between the XLE and XSE. If the wait time for the XSE isn’t too far off and you are happy with any of the above-mentioned features, you really can’t go wrong with the XSE.
